Week One
Week One ends with the flu.
After just one week of training the guys and two out of three of us are fighting some real nasty virus. It was so bad for me that I actually took two days off from work. The last that happened was... hey wait a minute... that has never happened. So, you see how nasty it was.
Anyways, week one is in the books and I have to give Eduardo credit for sticking it out for the whole week. We started with a short one mile run/walk on the first day and by weeks end, he was up to a full two miles of run walking plus calisthenics.
Week two will consist of three days (minimum) of run walking 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 miles this week. I hope to do at least two sets of strength training sessions with at least one core work out.
On a personal note, I have been in a weight loss contest at work, I started the contest at 206 lbs in clothes, and I now weight 194.5 lbs. My body fat percentage has been decreasing from 12.7 to 12.3% since I’ve been at it. The good news is that I’ve maintained my strength and it hasn’t affected my endurance.
